What is it about?

A big data analysis done ( 2.8 million respondents using GoB repository) to find out the distribution of climate-sensitive diseases in Bangladesh. Used patients records from 2017 to 2022 and a systematic review of 1400 articles published in between 2000-2023.

Why is it important?

analysed division wise regional burden of climate-sensitive diseases, pointed out the 14 major climate-sensitive disease burden and loopholes of data repository and the system. Women and children are most vulnerable , adolescents are more suffering in percentage. This is the first of its kind research in Bangladesh.

Perspectives

As the PI of the research Team , I'm glad that a multidisciplinary team worked together to accomplish this publication and paved the way to improve the data management system in Bangladesh. As a Team-Lead I'm proud of our team work with multi sectoral involvement. this article will help international researchers as an important reference and citation for climate and health adaptation research.
