Maternal anemia increases the risks of adverse maternal and child health outcomes, including maternal and child mortality. In this study, we explored this association by analyzing nationally representative cross-sectional data.

Anemia is common during pregnancy among women in low- and middle-income countries, including Bangladesh. The findings of this study help to understand the extent of this problem in Bangladesh.

Perspectives
