What is it about?
In this study, a group of people took an IQ test and a creativity test. When placed in the same measurement model, the IQ test was a very coherent, well-functioning test. However, the creativity test (called the Torrance Tests of Creative Thinking) did not form a coherent measurement model.

Why is it important?
"Creativity" is generally seen as a single "thing" that can be studied and measured. The leading test that measures creativity (called the Torrance Tests of Creative Thinking) is based on this assumption. However, the test does not produce a coherent measurement model, which means that its scores are uninterpretable.
Perspectives
This was the last study I conducted while I was a faculty member at Utah Valley University. It was a good finale to my work and was the culmination in a lot of study I have done on intelligence, creativity, and psychometrics over the years. I am also proud that it resulted in the largest creativity data set available for download on the internet.
