What is it about?

Medical approach alone cannot address the complex problems associated with MDR-TB

Why is it important?

Without adressing patients' socio-economic and sychosocial problems associated with MDR-TB, the generic medical solution alone cannot mitigate the problem. For this, any policy actions on the control of of the disease should consider the views and perceptions of patients affected with MDR-TB.

Perspectives

Globally our approch to mitigate the challenges of MDR-TB is medically oriented and does not make due emphasis to the views of patient community affceted by the disease. Thus, I strongly belive that publication of this article will alert all actors to consider the views of objects of our 'medical solution'
