What is it about?

Nori is a type of seaweed commonly used in sushi and snacks. Notably, Saga Prefecture in Japan is a primary production region for cultivated nori. In this study, we primarily focused on examining the genetic variations of cultivated nori originating from Saga Prefecture.

This is the first report to analyze the genetic diversity of cultivated nori using cutting-edge whole-genome sequencing techniques.
