Why is it important?
Perimenopause represents a phase of reproductive life characterized by hormonal fluctuations in women, often accompanied by physical and psychological discomfort. The characterization of this animal model of perimenopause holds the potential to shed light on the underlying mechanisms driving these changes, as well as to facilitate the evaluation of potential interventions aimed at alleviating these discomforts.
Perspectives
We are confident that this research addresses a significant gap in the existing literature, and we believe that this perimenopausal animal model makes a valuable contribution to the field of biomedical research.
