Why is it important?
It is important to inform the general reading public about the fact that amist the challenges, we are making progress in breaking the barriers and conducting drug discovery research in Ghana. Other researchers in similar circumstance may learn from us and press on rather than give up.
Perspectives
I think this paper highlights the challenges people in low middle income countries face in conducting drug discovery research and may assist policy makers to consider investing in areas such as this. Also, it shows that it is not always gloom but researchers in this disadvantage areas can contribute their quota in addressing global health needs.
