What is it about?
This study assessed the factors influencing women’s knowledge of cervical cancer and screening uptake. Most of the literature from Addis Ababa reports that screening uptake is low and that many women lack adequate knowledge about cervical cancer and its screening. However, the factors affecting women’s knowledge have not been well investigated. This article highlights the key factors that influence women’s knowledge of cervical cancer and screening.

This study helps to design strategies to improve the knowledge of women to increase uptake cervical cancer screening.
Perspectives
Writing this article was a great pleasure, as I had the opportunity to collaborate with my supervisors . It also opened the door for groups of researchers to reach out to me, which eventually led to deeper involvement in cervical cancer prevention and control research.
