Why is it important?
Understanding what leads to a hypertensive crisis can help healthcare providers prevent these emergencies and save lives.
Perspectives
As an emergency and critical care nurse in Ethiopia, I have seen many patients arrive too late with life-threatening hypertensive crises. This motivated me to investigate what puts people at risk. I hope our findings will guide local interventions that save lives through early education and better access to care.
