Why is it important?

The use of CAM during pregnancy has become widespread, it is important for individuals, especially pregnant women, to approach these therapies responsibly. This involves seeking reliable information, consulting with healthcare providers, and making informed decisions that prioritize both maternal and fetal well-being.

Perspectives

Pregnant women should be definitely be provided with information about the effects of herbal product use and CAM. Besides, education programs should be planned for pregnant women with positive attitudes towards CAM. Additionaly, education on herbal products and CAM should be added to the content of prenatal care classes.
