What is it about?

This study aimed to understand the preferred assessment methods of undergraduate students enrolled in experiential learning-based programs during the COVID-19 pandemic. The research utilized the best-worst scaling approach in two online surveys . Students prefer assessments that emphasize the development of critical thinking and professional skills, such as case studies. Students also preferred assessments that are driving and realistic, while very few preferred fast, frequent, safe, or strategic assessments.

By incorporating the preferences of students into the design of assessments, educators can enhance the relevance and effectiveness of the assessments and help students develop the skills necessary to succeed in their future careers.

Overall, this study has the potential to contribute to the improvement of teaching and learning practices in higher education, particularly in in the context of online and remote learning, that has become popular.
