Why is it important?

This research is pioneer in the analysis of the socio-demographic profile of PWWE in the Northeast region of Brazil. Regarding the characteristics of these women, the results showed that most of them lived rural areas, were illiterate, had cesarean delivery at childbirth, and had at least one abortion. . The severe precariousness of resources in the interior of the Alagoas state may be the reason for the vulnerability profile findings and adverses obstetrics outomes.

Perspectives

I hope with this manuscript to show researchers in the epilepsy area the reality of pregnant women with epilepsy in a country with as many inequalities as Brazil and contribute to these findings with other researchers from Brazil and around the world
