Why is it important?
This study found no increased risk of any outcomes evaluated, suggesting that paracetamol is a safe medicine during pregnancy. However, it should not be assumed that paracetamol is a risk-free medication, and its use must be rational.
Perspectives
Writing this article was a great pleasure, as it has co-authors with whom I have collaborated before. In addition, this article also leads to the study of pregnancy pharmacoepidemiology in Brazil, an area still not much explored and studied in the country.
