What is it about?
South Korea and North Korea are in a state of armistice, so they cannot come and go. The only North Koreans who came to South Korea are North Korean refugees. This study evaluated the nutritional status of children from North Korean refugee families living in South Korea.

Why is it important?
As a global citizen and as one Korean people, It is natural to take care of the health of children who suddenly immigrated to South Korea, which has a completely different society, culture, and system from North Korea. Nutrition education and prompt intervention are needed to improve malnutrition and reduce obesity of children from North Korean refugee families.
