Why is it important?

This is the first report about the effectiveness of sesquiterpene lactones chemical class in treatment of Alzheimer's disease. This natural chemical class would provide a safe, effective and more cost-effective drugs targeting Alzheimer's disease which is still has no safe and cost effective remedy.

Perspectives

We hope this article will stimulate other researchers and drug companies to develop new Alzheimer's remedies based on the skeleton of sesquiterpene lactones. A chance to develop more safe, effective and cost- effective remedy than current medications.
