What is it about?
We generated tools to inactivate genomic regions in an inducible and reversible way by simply introducing specific short guide RNAs. These tools were generated in embryonic stem cells and mouse, which make it feasible to induce genomic inactivation in ESC-derived cells or any mouse tissues of interest.

Why is it important?
Compared with traditional gene knockdown, our tools can target any genomic region. And the inducible and reversible control is critical for many applications.
