What is it about?

From 1995-1999, the Online Books Evaluation Project at Columbia University studied the interest of students and researchers in using eBooks, how they might be used, eBook features that scholars and librarians wanted, the economics of print and online books, and potential market arrangements. Scholars saw potential for eBooks to make their research, learning, and teaching more efficient and effective. Librarians saw potential to serve their scholars better and reduce costs. EBooks could have greater use and pubishers greater profitability.
