Why is it important?
This article is an indicator of how digital workflows in joint orthodontic/orthognathic treatment are being utilised at the point of care in a UK district general hospital.
Perspectives
The use of digital workflows in joint orthodontic/orthognathic planning has become increasingly popular. 3D-VSP has the potential to improve clinical and laboratory efficiency whilst enhancing surgical precision, consistency and reproducibility of treatment. Writing this article allowed me to document the steps our institution take when planning orthognathic cases.
