Why is it important?

Autism will affect a person's life, whatever their age. Care staff can have a greater understanding of a person's problems by being aware of how autism can affect someone. Strategies can be learned to reduce issues.

Perspectives

Understanding why a person behaves in a certain way can help to reduce anxieties than can exacerbate behaviour. Knowing what triggers are in play is important.
