Why is it important?

It is important that staff have a journal that provides them with up to date knowledge, skills and understanding of different models of care and practical aspects of care for older people. I have over 40 years of experience in nursing within the NHS and the Independent Health Care Sector.

Perspectives

I have been involved with the journal since it bean and became Consultant Editor 18 years ago. Therefore it is a very personal perspective and I have seen it grow over the years into a journal that is a must for all care home managers and staff. We have managed to keep abreast of developments in the care industry and I believe the future is bright, with new board members and new authors keeping the journal fresh and relevant.
