What is it about?

Nursing & Residential Care (NRC) is the quality monthly journal that enables multidisciplinary teams in care homes to keep up-to-date with best practice. Articles ensure everyone in the home, including managers, nurses and care assistants, keep abreast of the latest changes in legislation through the Care Quality Commission (CQC), legal and ‘how to’ series.

Why is it important?

Peer-reviewed, evidence-based clinical articles provide updates on the guidance from the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE), and best practice in areas including infection control, continence care, nutrition and wound care. There are also practical articles on promoting resident wellbeing in areas such as dementia care, and regular editorials on upcoming events that the home can focus on to improve quality of life for residents.
