What is it about?
Phosphate is an important electrolyte for human homeostasis. In people with Chronic Kidney disease (CKD), especially stage 4-5- 5D CKD, phosphate levels raises. This article summarises the national and international guidelines for the management of hyperphosphatemia in CKD, including the recent Kidney Disease Improving Global Outcomes 2025 commentary statement.
