Why is it important?

The potential of nurses, other than the assistive role, is under utilised in most of the health care set-ups. This study emphasise how well nurses can be utilised to improve the adherence behaviour among haemodialysis patients.

Perspectives

This study evaluated the effect of Nurse-led interventions on adherence to diet and fluid restrictions and showed that it was effective in enhancing the subjective adherence behaviour among patients receiving haemodialysis.
