What is it about?
This article is intended to educate practitioners on the many possibilities that neuromodulators can have on our patient's lower face and neck. A review of the aging process, lower face and neck anatomy and physiology, mechanism of action, antagonistic effects on opposing muscles, and complications will all be addressed.

Why is it important?
Using neuromodulators for recontouring and redraping of the face and neck is a novel and effective approach for aesthetic practitioners.
Perspectives
Close to 50% of my patient's dosage of neuromodulator treatment comes from the lower face and neck. Yet as I was out training practitioners around the country, I found a lot of aesthetic injectors have never treated anything below the Orbicularis Oculi with neuromodulators. This instigated a need for more comprehensive training on the subject, and hence this article was born.
