Why is it important?
Emergency medical care in the prehospital environment is very labour intensive and stressful. Each practitioner in the prehospital team has an essential role to play in promoting patient safety and mitigating against risks. Teamwork and effective communication is such situations are vital in this uncontrolled environment.
Perspectives
I am very passionate about prehospital emergencymedical care. I am an advocate of patient safety. As such, effective teamwork and communication are cornerstones to promoting patient safety.
