Why is it important?

When a patient has pain in the shoulder, he may not be able to do the shoulder movements. This may pose limitations to the therapist in assessing the strength of the muscles around the shoulder and the exercises to be given for strengthening. In that case, the muscles can become weak, which may lead to further damage to the shoulder and delay the rehabilitation process.
