What is it about?
A 73-year-old male patient was dug out of the rubble at the 25th hour of the earthquake. On physical examination, there was a dent and bruising on the left forehead. His consciousness was quite blurred. In the non-contrast brain CT, a displaced fracture line was observed in the left anterior side of the superior part of the frontal sinus. No intracerebral, subdural, epidural haematoma or subarachnoid hemorrhage was detected. In a systematic review of 34 articles, earthquake-related head trauma was the most common injury after extremity injuries among patients with earthquake-related injuries. In the emergency evaluation of situations that may cause psychological and physical trauma, such as earthquakes, without details and hasty examination may lead to misdiagnoses. Therefore, radiological imaging has an important place.
