What is it about?
Discussing the value of the IBD Registry to local services and national benchmarking and audit of Information gathered at the time of a patient visit or contact. these contacts are either in face to face clinic or virtual contact via telephone or email. The Nurse led service was able to use this information to develop the services locally for patients with Inflammatory Bowel Disease. Taking part in national data collection allows benchmarking of services.

Perspectives
This article discuses the difficulties as well as the benefits its not always easy to implement these systems, but my opinion is it really is worthwhile and there is a real benefit to patients.
