Why is it important?
The accumulation of drug discarded can result in the equivalent to one full dose not being administered over 3-4 days. With the importance of ensuring the full course of antibiotics are taken by the public, the work here raises a unknown under dosing that is occurring frequently in the hospital setting.
Perspectives
I hope this article opens up conversations about how to solve the problem of under dosing via infused drugs.
