Why is it important?

Throughout this study, it was possible not only to identify the occurrence of mental health problems in nursing workers but also to come close to understanding the difficulties experienced in the care of children with serious heart disease, due to the complexity of the assistance, the inevitable losses and the interactions with families.

Perspectives

The results of this study also point to the need for further research into interventions that can be implemented and to assess the impact of these intervention measures on nursing workers’ health, with the aim of improving their quality of life at work.
