Why is it important?
Our research includes the experiences of over 2,000 people with migraine. The results paint a stark picture of the reality of living with migraine, and the extent to which the condition impacts every aspect of life. The article explores how inequity in access to positive care can increase the challenges faced by those living with migraine and provides practical suggestions for clinicians supporting patients with the condition.
Perspectives
This article highlights two areas about which I am particularly passionate: migraine and mental health. Both areas are also often misunderstood which can be harmful to people affected by them. It is my hope that this article will help shed some light on the ways that living with migraine can impact mental health and encourage clinicians to consider these impacts when supporting patients.
