Nursing mentorship is an NMC requirement to support and assess student nurses. Its guided by the NMC standards for learning and assessment which is being changed in 2018 to having supervisors and assessors. How can this work in the community areas?

Perspectives
Many of the guidance documents from RCN offered to NMC when considering changes focused on ward type models of mentorship. Considering the government drive toward community based care there appears a gap in considering impacts changes will have to these areas.
