What is it about?

Why is it important?

The success rate of elective cardioversion are evaluated, this explains that cardioversion success is not guaranteed short term or long term but can be used to evaluate symptoms. Offering alternative treatment options such as weight loss and healthy lifestyle may prove more successful.

Perspectives

This was first attempt at writing a journal article and have found it a memorable experience with many learning points. I hope to give an insight into the elective cardioversion procedure and the outcomes of a patient cohort over a 1 year period. I feel that that the results will raise questions about the long term goals of elective cardioversions as the outcomes results may raise some questions.
