Why is it important?
Health behaviours are shaped by a number of factors, some of which are beyond the control of the individual. These structural influences on health need to be addressed by nurse managers, Trust employers and the NHS. However there are many things that nurses can do to influence and improve both their own health and the health of the people they serve.
