What is it about?

A non NHS research project that aims to analyse the lived experiences of student midwives whilst on clinical placement. Using interpretative phenomenological analysis (IPA) to explore the students perspectives and how the experiences affect their decision to join the professional register at the point of registration.

The high rate of attrition amongst Midwives has been well documented whereas the rate of attrition amongst student midwives has not.
