What is it about?

This a research study asked the opinions of care home workers in relation to an advanced paramedic service that supported their residents. The service is an alternative to 999 to support residents with minor injury and illness conditions and aims to reduce inappropriate hospital conveyance.

Prior to this study there were no evaluations of the role of paramedics and the ambulance service supporting care home residents to remain in the community following a minor injury or illness.
