What is it about?

A mini review of the literature on small molecules found with activity against Ebola as well as a medicinal chemistry analysis. All the structure were shared and stored in a public CDD Vault.

Why is it important?

We were the first group to collate molecules and make them available with additional analysis. Desirable molecules were generally more lead-like based on molecular properties.

Perspectives

A database dealing with small molecule drugs will be useful in future to prioritize where to spend resources on preclinical and clinical testing. In addition by collating all the data in one place one realizes there has been significant efforts in this area that have been generally overlooked.
