What is it about?

It presents different scientific points of view concerning the idea of progress in architecture, urbanism, science, culture, philosophy and arts. There are almost 70 chapters considering how Progress, its theories and practices evolved through time since the 18th century, how it was theorized, practised and perceived in different cultures.

Perspectives

This book, as other of the same PHI collection, promotes the dialogue among scientists, all concerned with sharing their knowledge and accepting the challenges presented by different perspectives. It is aimed both at academia as to the general public.
