What is it about?
This article is focused on laboratory experiment of removal selected metals from water. In the laboratory of Institute of municipal water management was on modeling water with increased concentration of iron, manganese, cooper and arsenic monitored removal effi-ciency of these metals by filtration through four sorption materials. These were materials with the tradenames CFH 0818, Bayoxide E33, GEH and DMI-65, the last one is not used in the Czech Republic yet. Removal of the individual elements was monitored at regular intervals and compared with the limit values for these elements given by Decree no. 252/2004 Coll., which is valid for drinking water in the Czech Republic. From the results of water analysis can be said that all the materials are able to remove selected metals from water, each of the materials, however, removes these metals with different efficiency.
