Why is it important?

For those who did not have the opportunity to attend the 2016 SEG Annual Meeting, this article is a great way to stay current with the events, trends, and news from SEG.

Perspectives

Each year, SEG publishes a recap of the Annual Meeting in The Leading Edge (TLE). This recap keeps all SEG members and nonmembers current with the developments at Annual Meeting, as well as industry highlights and SEG news. TLE is a gateway publication, introducing new geophysical theory, instrumentation, and established practices to scientists in a wide range of geoscience disciplines. Most material is presented in a semitechnical manner that minimizes mathematical theory and emphasizes practical applications. TLE also serves as SEG's publication venue for official society business.
