What is it about?
There are many volcanic outcrops in the vicinity of the Austin area. One of this areas is the Williamson Creek. Here a volcanic outcrop of tuff and limestone is in a tectonic relationship: is this a graben, as the current theory maintains, or a submarine volcanic vent? Geophysical results (2D/3D resistivity results support the volcanic vent.

Why is it important?
It is the first geophysical research published on the subject!
Perspectives
This work proves that more can be learned about the volcanic activity which happened 70 million years ago. I am sure more it will trigger more work on the subject. I am already working on two more volcanic papers to be published this year.
