Bayesian seismic inversion for stratigraphic horizon, lithology and fluid prediction

What is it about?

Seismic is routinely used to image the subsurface through prediction of sound wave velocities. We present an algorithm which through the addition of geological knowledge can be used to predict rock types, fluid content and stratigraphic layering from seismic data.
