What is it about?

We evaluate two kinds of Marchenko-based internal multiple removal strategies and enhance each method individually. Our study can be helpful in situations where we need to deal with the internal multiples among a strongly inhomogeneous and complex overburden, e.g., salt structures.

Why is it important?

Our study can be helpful in situations where we need to deal with internal multiples within a strongly inhomogeneous and complex overburden, while providing insights that can help ensure the quality of internal multiple elimination.

Perspectives

Writing this article was a great pleasure as it has co-authors with whom I have had long-standing collaborations. This article lays the foundation for the next imaging research.
