What is it about?

Epithelial cells respond to micro organisms through the Toll like receptor pathway. We report how such signaling can occur when TLR-2 pathway is activated in cultured cells.

Why is it important?

This study allows novel intervention on ocular surface disease through targeting TLR-2.
