Why is it important?
The measurement of ADAM10 in patients with suspected cognitive decline,e Alzheimer's dise but who have not yet reached such a decline, may allow early interventions that could retard or even prevent thase onset.
Perspectives
Writing this article with the other authors was very important and rewarding, as it is a topic that instigates more and more studies in the area. This publication is important for a better understanding regarding the increase in plasma levels of ADAM10 and its relationship with the worsening or deterioration in the cognition of older adults.
