What is it about?

The repeatability of Lipiview interferometry has been evaluated.

Why is it important?

Since lipid deficient dry eye is very common (70-80%) of dry eye cases, it has become common place to try and replace lipids. Before we can monitor for changes in tear lipid thickness, we need to establish how repeatable such measurements are.

Perspectives

Need to consider this issue before usage of Lipiview as a outcome in clinical trials.
