What is it about?
The scramjet engine is a new type of propulsion system that offers many advantages for aircraft operating at high speeds. This type of engine is particularly suitable for hypersonic flight due to its ability to maintain speed in the hypersonic range. The study analyzes ten different cases, and it is noted that out of these, the 4-degree cowl deflection angle is the most efficient in enhancing the total pressure efficiency.

Why is it important?
Enhance the performance of supersonic/ hypersonic inlet which can be used in future aircraft and spacecraft vehicles
Perspectives
The current research status on scramjet engines indicates a significant gap in how incorporating bleeds of different dimensions and cowl deflections of different angles will affect the performance of the scramjet inlet.
