What is it about?
Scarring (or fibrosis) after lung injury from COVID-19 is sometimes a complication that may have significant impact on a person's quality of life. There are tools that can be used to screen for this disease process. Key unique features of acute COVID-19 may play a role in the development of scarring after COVID. Future research efforts should be dedicated to understanding this disease process.
