A Phenomenological approach considers what an experience means to individuals . By using plays which are based on accounts of the final period of individuals' lives important aspects could be highlighted which contributed to a better outcome for the dying individual and their loved ones,

Why is it important?

As we are more likely to die from the diseases of old age with a prolonged period of morbidity, it is important to understand what it means to continue to live ones life as death approaches.

Perspectives

Death is the last taboo. In this age in which the focus is on health and fitness with the message that old age and death can be postponed for a longer and longer time, it is important to prepare for the inevitable as well as possible and to understand what might make it a good death.
