What is it about?

This looks at the parliamentary careers of the last six Lowther MPs, all Conservatives, asks to what extent they acted in concert, how far they conformed to the David Cannadine's portrayal ('Decline and Fall of the British Aristocracy' 1990) of a deracinated landed upper class that had lost its political bearings, and how they adjusted to life after the House.
